Laser scanning offers a more reliable, quicker and therefore more cost effectivealternative to traditional site measuring methods in the following issues:
- The documentation and the old plans are incomplete and unreliable.
- Site measurement using a manual laser or measuring chain requires much effort and time
(must often be measured several times on site) - When measuring manually, things are overlooked time and again leading to problems during the construction phase.
- To obtain a spatial impression of an object a vast array of pictures must be taken.
- No measurements can be obtained from traditional photographs.
This is not the case for scans:
Measurements between all and any points can already be read at the construction sitedirectly after the execution of a scan (3 - 5 minutes).
Complete site measurement can then be done comfortably on-screen in the office.
